You have the right to request complete deletion of your personal data from the Glowwry platform at any time — including data obtained through Facebook Login. This page explains exactly how to do it.
This page is for all users of Glowwry — whether you signed up with email, Google, or Facebook. If you used Facebook Login, your Facebook-derived data (name, email, profile photo) is deleted along with your Glowwry account data.
If you only want to remove Glowwry's access from your Facebook account without deleting your Glowwry account, see Method 3 below.
The fastest way to delete your account and all associated data is directly through the Glowwry app once it launches.
Available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap the gear icon (⚙️) and select Privacy & Data.
Read the confirmation prompt and tap Confirm Deletion. You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.
Note: The app is currently in development. Until launch, please use Method 2 (email request) below.
Send an email to our Data Protection Officer using the template below. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
We will reply asking you to confirm your identity — usually a reply from your registered email address is sufficient.
Your account is deactivated and a deletion job is queued for all personal data stores — Firebase, our database, and third-party processors.
All personal data is permanently deleted. You will receive a written confirmation email.
If you connected your Glowwry account via Facebook Login and want to remove Glowwry's access from Facebook without deleting your Glowwry account entirely, follow these steps on Facebook:
Go to facebook.com/settings and log in to your account.
In the left panel, click Security & Login, then scroll to Apps and Websites. Or go directly to facebook.com/settings?tab=applications.
Locate Glowwry in the list of connected apps. Click Remove and confirm.
Email privacy@glowwry.com with subject Facebook Access Removal — [Your Name] and we will purge the Facebook-derived data (name, email, picture) from our records within 30 days.
After removing access, your Glowwry account remains active but you will need to set a password to continue logging in. Contact hello@glowwry.com to set up an email/password login.
When your deletion request is processed, here is what happens to each category of your data:
