Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Glowwry platform — our website, mobile apps, and all related services. Please read them carefully before using Glowwry.

Plain-language summary: Glowwry is a marketplace connecting customers with beauty professionals. We are not the service provider ourselves — we are the platform. By using Glowwry you agree to these terms. You must be 18+ to use our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Glowwry website at glowwry.com, the Glowwry mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ironage Technologies Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, with its principal place of business in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

2. The Platform

Glowwry is a technology platform that facilitates the discovery and booking of beauty and wellness services. The Platform connects:

  • Customers — individuals seeking beauty or wellness services at home or at a partner salon.
  • Service Professionals — independently operating freelance beauticians and salon businesses listed on the Platform.

Ironage Technologies Private Limited acts as an intermediary marketplace. We are not the provider of beauty services ourselves. The contract for the provision of any beauty or wellness service is between the Customer and the Service Professional directly. Our role is to facilitate that connection and ensure a safe, trustworthy experience.

As an intermediary, Glowwry is covered under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform.
  • You must be a resident of or located in India to use the Platform's booking and payment features.
  • You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account.
  • If you are registering on behalf of a business (e.g., as a salon partner), you must have the legal authority to bind that business to these Terms.

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their eligibility.

4. Accounts & Registration

4.1 Creating an Account

You may register using your email address, Google account, or Facebook account. By using third-party login methods, you authorise us to access the data described in our Privacy Policy and agree to the applicable third party's terms.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@glowwry.com if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.

4.3 One Account Per User

Each person may hold only one active customer account. Service professionals may hold a separate partner account in addition to a customer account.

4.4 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. See our Data Deletion Instructions for details.

5. Bookings & Payments

5.1 Booking Process

When you submit a booking request through the Platform, you are making an offer to purchase the selected service from the Service Professional. The booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation notification from Glowwry.

5.2 Pricing

All prices displayed on the Platform are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices are set by Service Professionals and may vary. Glowwry may display indicative prices and does not guarantee that listed prices will be available at all times.

5.3 Payments

All payments are processed through Razorpay, our PCI-DSS compliant payment partner. By completing a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's terms and conditions. Glowwry does not store your payment card information.

5.4 Platform Fee

Glowwry charges a platform service fee on certain bookings, which is displayed transparently during checkout. This fee is non-refundable except as described in Section 6.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

6.1 Customer Cancellations

  • More than 4 hours before appointment: Full refund to original payment method, minus any non-refundable platform fee.
  • 2–4 hours before appointment: 50% refund of the service amount.
  • Less than 2 hours before appointment: No refund.

6.2 Professional / Platform Cancellations

If a Service Professional cancels your confirmed booking or Glowwry is unable to fulfil the service, you will receive a full refund including any platform fees, credited within 5–7 business days.

6.3 Refund Processing

Refunds are credited to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer and typically take 5–7 business days after our confirmation.

6.4 Disputes

For any payment disputes or complaints regarding service quality, contact hello@glowwry.com within 48 hours of the appointment. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.

7. For Service Professionals & Salon Partners

7.1 Independent Contractor Status

Service Professionals listed on Glowwry are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or franchisees of Ironage Technologies Private Limited. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between Glowwry and any Service Professional.

7.2 Professional Obligations

By listing services on the Platform, Service Professionals agree to:

  • Hold valid professional qualifications and comply with all applicable licencing requirements.
  • Maintain all necessary tools, equipment, and hygiene standards.
  • Carry their own professional indemnity or liability insurance.
  • Complete identity verification as required by Glowwry before going live on the Platform.
  • Arrive at booked appointments on time and provide services as described.
  • Treat all customers with courtesy and professionalism.

7.3 Payouts

Service Professionals receive payouts for completed bookings per the payout schedule communicated during onboarding. Glowwry deducts its commission and applicable TDS before remitting the balance to the Professional's registered bank account.

7.4 Listing Accuracy

Service Professionals are solely responsible for the accuracy of their service descriptions, pricing, and availability. Misrepresentation may result in account suspension.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Indian law.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews, ratings, or information.
  • Circumvent the Platform to arrange off-platform bookings or payments with Service Professionals found through Glowwry, in a manner designed to avoid Glowwry's service fees.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm any Service Professional, customer, or Glowwry staff.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or systems without authorisation.
  • Upload or transmit any malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce any part of the Platform without our written consent.
  • Use the Platform in any way that could impair its performance or disrupt other users' experience.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account suspension, termination, and where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Glowwry Platform — including but not limited to the Glowwry name, logo, design, text, graphics, software, and code — is the exclusive property of Ironage Technologies Private Limited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in India and internationally.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without our prior written consent.

User-generated content (such as reviews and photos) remains your property, but by submitting such content you grant Glowwry a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and reproduce it on the Platform and in our marketing materials.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • Any particular Service Professional will be available or will meet your expectations.
  • The results of using the Platform's beauty services will be as expected.

Beauty and wellness services carry inherent risks, including but not limited to allergic reactions, skin sensitivity, and product-specific responses. Customers should inform Service Professionals of any known allergies, medical conditions, or sensitivities before any service begins. Glowwry is not liable for any adverse reactions arising from beauty services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ironage Technologies Private Limited shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Any loss of revenue, profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.
  • Any damages arising from the acts or omissions of Service Professionals.
  • Any service interruptions, delays, or failures of the Platform.

In any event, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Glowwry in the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is lower.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ironage Technologies Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Platform or any services booked through it.
  • Your breach of these Terms or any applicable law.
  • Your violation of any third party's rights.
  • Any content you submit, post, or transmit through the Platform.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time per our Data Deletion Instructions.

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You breach any provision of these Terms.
  • We are required to do so by law or court order.
  • We reasonably believe your conduct poses a risk to other users or to the Platform.

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at hello@glowwry.com and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.

14.2 Jurisdiction

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

14.3 Consumer Disputes

Nothing in these Terms limits your right to file a complaint with the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or any other consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Send a notification to registered users via the app or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect (for material changes).

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Platform and may delete your account.
